An Open Letter from the Founder of MemoryNest

Hello,

My name is Jennifer Lanoue, and I would like to personally welcome you to MemoryNest.

For more than 20 years, I have had the privilege of working alongside older adults, families, patients, and caregivers in home care, hospitals, assisted living communities, and nursing homes. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Gerontology and have continued my education through dementia care and grief coaching because supporting others has always been more than a career for me—it has been a calling.

Throughout the years, I have witnessed incredible acts of love, strength, patience, and sacrifice from caregivers. I have also seen the exhaustion, stress, grief, and loneliness that often go unnoticed. Caregivers spend so much time caring for others that they frequently forget to care for themselves.

MemoryNest was created for those caregivers.

It was built from both professional experience and personal understanding. I wanted to create a place where caregivers could find support, encouragement, organization, education, and practical tools to help them navigate their journey. A place that acknowledges not only the person receiving care, but also the person providing it.

At MemoryNest, we believe that caregivers deserve to be heard, supported, and valued. We believe that small moments of encouragement matter. We believe that staying organized can reduce stress. We believe that education empowers families. Most importantly, we believe that when caregivers are supported, everyone benefits.

As MemoryNest continues to grow, you can expect resources, caregiver tools, educational content, wellness reminders, journals, support materials, and a community built on compassion and understanding.

Whether you are caring for a parent, spouse, family member, friend, patient, or client, I want you to know this:

You are making a difference.
Your work matters.
Your well-being matters too.

Thank you for being here at the beginning of this journey. I look forward to growing alongside you and supporting caregivers every step of the way.

With gratitude,

Jennifer Lanoue
